I have never had Neem Oil so this review is from a first time purchaser. Neem oil has a very very strong scent of peanut and garlic. It can be used for beauty products, treatment and pesticide. The scent is very strong I applied to my skin mixed with a cream and it did a great job of moisturizing but the scent still lingered. I will try to use it for my acne as I don't expect acne products to smell good and also will use the oil as a pesticide as I read great things in that area.
I love what this does for my skin and hair, but the smell.... That will take some getting used to. This oil is very different from any other oil I have tried in the way that it feels on the skin. The best way I can describe it is that it goes on like an oil but feels like a lotion. It's a really odd thing and I love that instant moisture. I am super particular about smells and fragrances and this oil has a scent all its own. I can't even adequately describe it except to say that. overall, the smell reminds me of used cooking oil. There is under-scent of soil/earth. Like I said, this is a completely new oil experience for me in every way. I discovered the ;lotion effect; when I applied it straight on my hands and arms. I use a wide variety of oils and this is the first one that I have ever noticed the lotion feel with. Other oils that I really like are absorbent but I've never used one like this before. I really wanted to see how this worked on my hair (dry, 4B/4C texture and worn & ;natural;) so I used it last night when I twisted/coiled it for styling. I fine-misted on just a little bit of water, then rubbed on some of the Neem oil. I also applied the oil to my scalp using a dropper. It completely absorbed into my hair (where other oils - even if absorbent - tend to leave a surface residue) and felt great. But that smell was really strong for a long while. It did die down by morning, but there was the faintest hint of it. I would recommend this product. I received this product in exchange for a honest review.
